My Students

The students in our ABA strand are primarily children diagnosed with autism. We have 8 classrooms serving students from pre-K (age 3) to 8th grade. The teachers in these classrooms focus on everything from academics to self-help skills like washing hands.

Our students are amazing individuals who work every day to overcome differences in learning styles, communication, and socialization.

They are curious, energetic, and passionate about all sorts of interests and hobbies. They come to school each day ready to learn and our teachers work tirelessly to make that happen!

My Project

My students are the ages between 12-14 and have been working on various activities of daily living like dressing, folding laundry, brushing teeth, and general hygiene. My students are really looking forward to using the skills they learned to apply them to washing cloths and feeling more independent. They need help learning life skills to be able to live an independent adulthood. They would really appreciate your help in getting them a washer and dryer for the classroom so they can learn how to sort laundry wash and dry cloths and decide if it needs hung or folded. Please help us reach our life skills goals.
