My Students
My science students are taking chemistry and AP Environmental science and attend a rigorous arts and academics high school in New York City. They come from a variety of economic backgrounds and cultures. This class prepares them for creating a more sustainable planet and for future scientific pursuits.
They are excited to learn, but need a classroom computer so that powerpoint slides and videos can be displayed.
My students are very talented and well-rounded. They are hard-working students who take pride in their art and their academics!
My Project
My students will benefit from this laptop because they will be able to view PowerPoint slides and videos without having to switch between computers. We will be able to watch videos in class and be able to hear the sound play. This will be an additional source that students can use for researching topics in class.
The touchscreen will make it easy to draw diagrams and label graphs, showing the connections between notes and concepts.
Additionally, this laptop will allow me to input grades for classwork and formative assessments as students complete assignments in the classroom, which will give students instantaneous and accurate feedback for their work.
