My students do many calculations throughout the year that require scientific calculators. We do calculations for molarity, moles, percent error, percent composition, gas laws, heat, temperature, and many more. Some have graphing calculators but need to use Scientific Calculators for the Chemistry state tests. We need a class set so that they can practice using Scientific Calculators and be comfortable using them before the exam. We will practice using scientific calculators and building confidence with calculations. With the help of generous donors, my students will be able to practice using scientific calculators throughout the year in order to avoid calculator problems on the day of their state test.
