Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My little students are Pre Kindergarten students who are in school for the first time in their short lives. Many of them have a difficult time separating from their parents and are scared to come to a "big" school. They may also be experiencing some sensory issues at this young age.

If we were to have some weighted blankets and weighted lap pads the students could use them to help with their sensory issues.

This will help them tremendously throughout the school day. These little four and five-year-olds have to stay in school all day long, so having a comfort blanket will help ease the transition. It is difficult for most of them, but having a weighted lap blanket will help them ease their emotions.
