Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are not provided with the support and resources they need and deserve. They are very eager, energetic, fun preschoolers who want nothing more than to succeed in the classroom and build the foundation they need to be successful in the school years to come.

I love to see how excited and open my students are to learning new things each day in the classroom.

I want to give my students every opportunity in my classroom, so they can enjoy all that preschool has to offer. My students are creative, smart, and eager to learn. I have the opportunity to teach 20 wonderful preschool students who come from Spanish-speaking homes.

My students attend a low-income school in Chicago. About 90% of the students are from low-income households. As their teacher, I am dedicated to creating an environment where they feel safe, happy, and valued.

My Project

I am in a low-income school district, so I have to make a lot of my own visual aids for my students. My visuals get used many times in a day, but because they are not laminated I am always having to redo my visuals.

If I was able to laminate my visuals I would create better quality visuals that my students would enjoy and can last me year after year.

These visuals will be used during our morning meetings, small groups and to display as anchor charts in the classroom. Giving my students the opportunity to not only learn through laminate visuals but also allowing them to hold in their hands without me having to reprint and use already limited resources in the classroom.

A laminator will go a long way towards saving time. My students and I would greatly appreciate your donations towards a new laminate machine and laminate pouches.
