This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Open the eyes of a child! There are so many places to go and things to see. With Internet access at the tips of their fingers, the possibilities are endless!

I have the privilege of teaching a group of wide-eyed, hardworking, and curious kindergarten students.

The majority of them are English Language learners and qualify for reduced/free lunch. Our school is one of the largest in the district and is located in an inner-city of a major metropolitan area. Administrators, teachers, and parents work together in creating a safe place where our children can succeed.

My Project

It is a reality that the majority of my students' parents do not have the resources to afford a computer and Internet access. Nor do they have the ability to take their children to various places and provide new experiences. While in the classroom, with the tablet I am requesting and internet access, I will teach my students how to answer the questions they may have, learn about new and exciting things, and educate them on technology and its many uses.

It is our job as a community to do what we can for our children and their future.

Your contribution is a way to reach our youth and help them become involved in the world around them and begin to see how technology can be a pathway into doing so. Let them explore the world outside of their own. Let my students experience new people, new cultures, and new perspectives.
