This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a diverse inner-city elementary school serving preschool through 5th grade students. Our students love to discover new things, participate in hands-on activities, and learn more about their ever-expanding world! All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch, and many struggle academically due to being behind in grade-level skills.

Our students inspire us every day with their curiosity and excitement for school!

I love our K-5 students very much, and I want to do all that I can to support their learning! I hope to instill a lifelong love of reading and learning by creating educational experiences that capture their attention, spark their imaginations, and promote a deeper understanding of the world around them.

My Project

Being an educator during a pandemic is not easy. As educators, we want to do all that we can to keep our students happy, healthy, and learning!

The items in my project will help keep our elementary students and staff healthy and germ-free.

There are Clorox disinfecting wipes that can be used to clean and disinfect high touch surfaces, tables, and educational materials between students. The KN95 face masks have 5 layers and filter out 95% of particles to help limit the spread of germs to keep us healthy.
