Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am so excited to begin my journey at KMS after spending the past decade teaching high school art. My goal is to create a hands-on art program where students can explore new materials and discover a love for creating.

Ceramics holds a special place in my heart.

I attended Appalachian State University, where I concentrated in ceramics as part of my art education. I am excited to share my love and knowledge of clay with my KMS students.

Through KMS Clay, I hope to provide students with the clay and ceramic supplies they need to experience the entire process—from hand-building and designing to glazing and seeing their finished pieces come out of the kiln.

Your support will help give my students meaningful, hands-on experiences with clay and help me build a strong ceramics program at KMSe. I can't wait to see what our young artists create!
