The imact has been tremendous and I am very excited about how the students have responded. \r\n\r\nI began this project with an idea about spreading kindess. While working at Kernodle I thought about a StepUp Be Kind program I was involved with years ago. We have great kids here at Kernodle, but I wanted to bring the idea of spreading kindness here. Students today are so distracted with social media and their phones, I wanted to be able to teach them to be more aware of what's going on around them. We took some time to learn what kindness means, how to look for it and how to be kind. The kids caught on and were so excited to receive the bracelets. They have been told if they see kindness, pass their bracelet on and tell that person to pass it on as well.
