Kindness and Friendship Bracelets

Help me give my students beads and string to make kindness and friendship bracelets.

My Project

Since the days of COVID, there has been a disconnect between students and this disconnect has truly impacted how our students treat each other and their teachers. Empathy, kindness, patience, understanding, and respect for one another has greatly decreased and I want to find ways to repair that.

My goal is to "Capture Kindness" throughout the building by having kindness bracelets scattered around the school for students to find.

Having a polaroid camera will allow me to take a snapshot of the acts of kindness to display, as well.

Students will make these bracelets with me in 1:1 counseling or in group counseling to leave around the building for other students, and teachers, to find! The bracelets will have uplifting messages on them, like "be kind", "you matter", "you belong", and so much more!

Our students truly value how they are perceived by their peers, so if I can help change the atmosphere of the school to a more kind and positive atmosphere, we will see increased self-esteem, and more positive relationships and connections between students.
