Help me give my students 4 student friendly Kindle Fires that will greatly enhance their literary and math skills as they journey through the curriculum of kindergarten.
When you enter the door of my kindergarten classroom you will find a group of energetic and enthusiastic young learners. They come from various backgrounds and bring different experiences into our classroom. They don't all learn in the same way but they want to learn! That is exciting!
As their teacher, I am laying the foundation for life-long learners so using meaningful resources to keep their fire kindled is a priority.
It is important to engage all students in learning through new and exciting ways. I know a perfect classroom does not exist, but I should definitely strive for the best. My children certainly deserve it!
My Project
My kindergarten students are so eager and so willing to learn. They are honestly like sponges soaking up every bit of information that is introduced to them. I get excited because they are excited! As their teacher, I want to enable every student in my classroom to learn as much as possible using all the meaningful resources I can. However, I do know though that many of students do not have access to resources that so many take for granted.
I believe that the use of technology in my classroom is very important as resource for learning.
While I am teaching small groups daily in reading and math at my table, the Kindles I am asking for would be so beneficial at our technology station. These devices can provide an abundance of opportunities for children to learn new skills in exciting ways. Because so many of my students have never had access to technology and all the resources available , the need for the Kindles is even more relevant. The use of technology will help them to see that learning is so much fun and will make them even more excited about learning new things!
