My Project

At a young age, it is important to build fine motor skills through various methods and art is a great way to do it. Fine motor skills are important as we use them in many daily tasks such as writing, typing, tying shoes , zipping coats and even cooking meals. In kindergarten, many students come to school with poor fine motor development and it is a teachers job to find engaging ways to build those skills.

Various forms of art are a great way to introduce and strengthen fine motor skills.

Our students need a variety of art supplies to build strength in their hands that will allow them to progress in their fine motor development.

Along with those art supplies, our class needs a way to keep them organized. I am asking for paints, markers, oil pastels, ticket holders for papers and storage bins to help me create engaging experiences that will build my students fine motor skills in a fun and memorable way.

Mrs. Read will only receive her materials if this project is fully funded by September 4.
