Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have approximately 19 students in my kindergarten program.
They come from the highest population density and poorest area of our large, urban city.
All are on the free lunch program and 100% are learning English as a second language. Ninety-five percent of the students have had no educational experience before coming to my program.
My school is very small with only 320 students.
They came every day anger to learn!! They are very involve on computers on all subjects,
My Project
Technology has been such a benefit in our classroom, but it has also been one more thing that I need to keep track of. We have 1 iPad, three laptops, six desktops and a listening center. Right now our "technology station" is a mess of cords and bins. It is hard to hold the students accountable for keeping the area neat and tidy when there is no system or set up.
A charging station will help give clear expectations of how the technology station should look, while keeping the mess to a minimum.
This will also ensure that we are being safe with our technology center.
Throughout the year I have been trying to build independent learners by giving my students more responsibility in our classroom. Now is the time for them to take over our technology!
