Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My focus is teaching creative expression with kindergarten and first grade students. Creative expression is enhanced through sensory and exploratory art. When students feel comfortable in being creative, this builds confidence which is also applicable in all aspects of their academic and social environment.

Sensory and exploratory art can be done by stamping, playing with play dough, and painting.

My students love art, and they love making their own art, and these supplies will provide them the tools to feel good about what they make. I want to teach them that it doesn't have to be perfect. As long as they love what they make, that is all that matters.
