My Project

I teach at a high poverty elementary with about 500 students. My kindergarten classroom is full of 23 energetic, enthusiastic children.

My kindergarten students come to school every day filled with excitement for new adventures.

The students spend most of the day hard at work on their learning and need the free time that recess allows, so they are able to maintain focus and concentration while learning. There are times that we cannot get outside and play inside instead. I want to make indoor recess fun and engaging for my students.

I've chosen toys and other materials that will encourage students to use their imagination and creativity. These items will also promote teamwork and problem solving, all while having fun. We need LEGO, Magna-Tiles, and more.
