Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

While it is still fall, the Old Farmer's Almanac forecasts a frigid and snowy winter for much of the nation, including New York where our school is located.

The 2024 Old Farmer's Almanac predicts snowfall above normal in the Northeast and seasonably cold weather.

The Old Farmer's Almanac website map outlines a “cold and snowy” winter for much of New York state, describing this season as a "winter wonderland" with above-normal snow, and "normal to colder-than-normal temperatures" in areas that typically receive snow.

I would like to ensure that every student can travel between home and school protected from the cold winter elements. These warm winter coats, gloves, socks, and pantry staples will be distributed to students who need them.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
