Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are enthusiastic, hardworking young musicians who bring energy and creativity into the classroom every day. Many of them are discovering the joy of music for the first time through band, orchestra, and mariachi. They are eager to learn, improve their skills, and perform proudly for their school and community. I love watching their confidence grow as they work together, support one another, and experience success through music.

To help my students stay organized and focused, our classroom needs basic everyday supplies that make a huge difference in their learning experience.

The sheet protectors and binders will allow students to safely store and organize their music so it stays neat, readable, and ready for rehearsals and performances throughout the year. Having organized materials helps students build responsibility and develop strong practice habits.

The pencils are an essential part of every music rehearsal. Students constantly mark notes, rhythms, fingerings, dynamics, and reminders in their music as they learn new concepts and prepare performances. Providing enough pencils ensures every student can fully participate and stay engaged during class.

Dry erase markers are used daily for writing on the sheet protectors so students can write in their music without removing it from the protective sheets. These tools help make lessons interactive and visually clear for students of all skill levels.

Facial tissues are another important classroom necessity that help keep our learning environment clean, comfortable, and healthy, especially during long rehearsal days and cold season.

These simple but important supplies will help create a more organized, efficient, and supportive music classroom where students can focus on learning, growing, and making music together.
