My students need leis, bubbles, and trophies to stay motivated as we head into the end of the school year.
This project expired on August 14, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My Kindergarten students attend a diverse California elementary school in a very high poverty area. My thirty boys and girls love to ask questions and find things out about their world.
My Kindergarten class is the only Kindergarten class stuck out in a bungalow.
This means we do not have a sink in our classroom and the bathrooms are quite a ways away. They also have to cross an often crowded "big kid" playground to get to our own small playground.
My students are doing well this school year and I would like to keep them motivated, as well as reward their hard work.
Kindergarten is so much more than knowing your ABCs and 123s!
Many of my students started school not even knowing how to write their names. They have worked hard and as we are nearing the end of the school year, the work is not getting any easier. My students are learning to decode text and are working on identifying characters, settings and major events in stories. They are trying their best and I think they deserve leis, bubbles, and Rock Star trophies to motivate and reward them. I hope you do, too! Thank you!!
