My Students

Most of my students are Special Education students who lack social/emotional skills. Many are autistic or have behavioral and mental health diagnoses.

A majority of my students are part of a vulnerable population and suffer from homelessness, mental health, domestic violence and are also in and out of foster homes.

My school provides them with a safe haven where they can express their wants and needs not only through classwork but also through counseling.

We love and support our children.

My Project

Our students are low income and lack the necessary hygienic supplies and knowledge needed to feel at their best. My school has been teaching the students the importance of self-care and have recently incorporated a dental clinic which comes once a week to teach the students the importance of proper dental hygiene and provides them with dental supplies.

These products are to make sure that the students are being taught and counseled in a clean and safe space but it is also to provide them with supplies that they can take home and use.

I have included lysol products to clean the surfaces of the tables and supplies that they use in school and also included personal hygiene items the kids will be provided with such as deodorant, pocket hand sanitizer and lotion. Storage boxes were also included to store clothing donations and supplies that will be distributed to the children who are in need.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
