Help me give my students Scholastic News. I have the students watch the news for Current Events. I believe it is important for students to know what is going on the world.

My Students

My students come from all over the globe. Some speak English, some don't, some have been born in America, some have been born overseas. In my multicultural classroom I strive to help the students understand the world around them and how we are all connected, especially through our past.

My students love any new stories I can give them, they love to tell me about their lives, and I want to spread that enthusiasm to their academics and the world.

My Project

I believe it is important for the students to understand what is going on in the world around them. Especially as a history teacher is provides a unique opportunity to show the students how the past is affects us today.

A scholastic news subscription will allow my students a different medium to explore the news.

Student can interact with the material in different ways and use all different resources to examine the world around them. I will use this subscription as an instructional aid for the students so have a hands-on experience with the news instead of just watching it. With the subscription they can dissect the world around them and add meaning.
