My Project

Social-emotional learning is so important in schools. As a teacher, I want to help my students learn to deal with the big feelings they have. Sometimes big feelings can be overwhelming and cause outbursts.

My hope is to create a calm down corner where my students feel comfortable working through their emotions and taking a quick break from their classroom stressors.

All of the items in the project would be available to students when they are feeling overwhelmed or frustrated. The world is a big, scary place and it's important that we teach students how to deal with these emotions before they feel consumed by them.
