If you are looking for amazing students, come to my class! I am privileged to teach some of the kindest students there are. They are willing to do what it takes to learn and help their peers in the process.
Unfortunately, most of my students have a rough life out of school.
Some don't know where their next meal is going to come from, and others go without proper care due to low income.
By creating room transformations, I am able to help students take a break from 'life' and focus on the tasks at hand. Help me make learning amazing for these awesome students and allow them to put those bad things on hold while they focus on their learning.
My Project
I am so excited to say that my previous project with DonorsChoose was fully funded thanks to generous donors. I saw a match offer for this project, Botley. Botley is a STEM approved coding robot. It has several components that allow all levels of learners to start out with Coding and there is no use of a screen with this Coding kit. Students that use this kit will be able to make and go through obstacle courses for their robot, learn about chain reactions, as well as the robot detecting objects. I am very interested in Coding and sharing it with my students.
I attended a Coding workshop this past summer, I learned that there was a shortage of workers in the computer science field.
I have a passion to teach Coding to my students. I can only imagine how it can benefit those who are struggling in academics, but as they grow in this area it can help increase their self-confidence. With your help, I hope to continue my Coding journey in my classroom. I believe that I have future coders in my class and I would be so thankful to know that I help to ignite that spark with the help of donors.
