Help me give my students graphic novels to check out from the library! Graphic novels help engage even the most reluctant readers and keep them coming back to the Media Center.

My Students

Our students are curious, bright, and creative kids who deserve a welcoming and friendly library space! We are in a high-needs area and for many of our students, school is where they are the happiest.

After over a year of online learning, our kids are so happy to be back in the school and are thriving in the classroom.

My Project

Our students love graphic novels! Even our most reluctant readers are drawn to graphic novels in the library and we don't have enough books to keep up with the demand. Even though graphic novels are full of pictures, they provide high level text that help with decoding and comprehension skills.

Graphic novels have complex characters with intriguing plot lines, twists, and turns.

Having access to more reading material will make sure our collection is meeting student needs. Our students deserve more choice and equitable access to books that interest them.
