My Students

The demographics at my school consist of Black: 65%, Hispanic or Latino: 30%, White 2%, English Language learners: 11%, and Students with special needs: 33%. Most students come from poor income households and live in foster homes and shelters. Many families are single parent households and/or working families. We are a Title I school in Harlem. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. The students at my school are a mixture of different types of learners.

They love and enjoy learning, and most of all they want to strive for greatness.

The materials will be used to encourage students to keep on working out.

This will put a smile on our faces and make our school year a successful one. Just help us and our students do their best to be shining stars.

My Project

Masks are the new norm. I do not think anyone enjoys wearing them but it is necessary and required at our school to reduce the spread. With the current variant, cloth masks are proving to be ineffective. Most of my students wear the same used mask daily.

I would love to be able to offer a safer alternative to help give them the best chance of staying healthy while at school.

KN95 masks are more effective in keeping them safe from the spread of COVID.

The chart papers will help me to teach ELA and Math concepts through anchor charts posted in the classroom. The chart papers can be used for shared reading, share writing, students' group work and much more. Any little bit helps and counts to make my students and I safe this school year!
