Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project is very vital and important to a new and growing jewelry class program at my school. Help with this project will make a huge different because students will need safety glasses and gloves when working with wire, and currently we do not have enough for all students to be able to do wire working.

My goal is for all students to learn to use the pliers sets that would come with this project to create unique pieces of jewelry while learning about jewelry made by many cultures throughout the world and throughout history.

My students are very special because they are taking jewelry in a title one school where often this type of specialty course is not offered. As a result the funding often doesn't match the class numbers due to the popularity of such a course. Any additional funding would be a true blessing to our jewelry students! Thank you so much for your consideration.
