It's Time for Kids to Read!

My students need subscriptions to TIME For Kids classroom magazine to have access to current events written in age-appropriate language and to learn about the world around us.

My Students

My third grade students love reading and learning about the world, soaking up any and all new information from any source they can lay their hands on. They love to ask (and answer!) questions as they construct meaning from class discussions, activities, and materials.

These young students come from varied ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds and include English Language Learner students learning to speak and read English text.

In my classroom, it's fun and rewarding to learn from these little teachers each and every day.

My Project

With this subscription to TIME For Kids, our young learners will have access to high interest, current events to learn about the world around us in an age appropriate way. In recent issues, TIME For Kids covered topics like the recent California wildfires, replacing a Supreme Court justice, and saving coral reefs.

Exposure to current events information will help create enthusiastic lifelong learners and thoughtful citizens.

Kids love to own their own books and magazines. These magazines will motivate my young students, from struggling readers to advanced readers, to reach for non-fiction materials as readily as they already choose fiction text.
