It's All About the Timing

Help me give my students classroom timers to help them take turns, prepare for transitions and learn patience.

My Project

My preschool students are beginning to learn friendship skills, such as taking turns and sharing. Sometimes challenges arise when a child has a difficult time waiting for their turn with a desired toy. The timers and batteries I have chosen will allow the child to set a timer and feel more secure that their turn will not be forgotten. As well, the initial user of the item will get a visual of their dwindling time.

Utilizing timers will help my preschool students strengthen their sense of time and also foster social emotional problem solving skills.

As a bonus, setting timers will support numeral identification in these little learners. So I ask you now, is it the right time for you to donate to this project?
