Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My art students are special because they love learning and of course, they love recognition for a job well done! My goal is to support and develop positive behaviors from all of my students during the school day. Our site has had a school wide positive behavior and intervention support (PBIS) plan for years. Through PBIS we work to encourage all of our students ways to develop social skills that will help them achieve their educational and emotional goals.

It would be wonderful to reward positive behavior in art class with a little something special - a colorful pencil, a mini sketchbook, an eraser or a cute little pencil sharpener.

Help us share in some artsy incentives for the remainder of the school year - and let the thoughtfulness and good feelings grow!
