This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a low-socioeconomic community where the students are eager to learn but the resources are vastly limited. My students have limited Math abilities, yet will be tested on their grade level. Limited tools make teaching and learning Math a struggle.

These third graders are eager students who daily struggle against their diversified circumstances which affect and hinder their education.

Many come from homes where adequate help is unavailable and school is their only opportunity for an improved future.

My Project

These Math resources, such as hands-on listening center; math activity cards; problem solving journals; test prep materials and overhead manipulatives, will help create excitement in the students' in regards to mathematics and encourage their participation as well as their learning. As a consequence all types of learners will be reached, achieving differentiated instruction, as well as high testing scores.

Your help will ensure that my students receive the tools that they need to excel in Math.

You would make it possible for them to reach goals in different fields of study as well as prepare them for a successful future.
