Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My TK classroom is full of sweet, curious students who are just starting school for the very first time. Every day, they are learning how to hold a pencil, recognize letters and numbers, and use their voices to share their thoughts. Many of my students are still developing their language skills, and some have a hard time expressing themselves clearly.

Right now, the technology we have is very outdated, and we’re limited in what we can use.

There are so many wonderful, age-appropriate apps that could support my students, but we simply can’t access them on our current devices. Having a few updated iPads even one in our classroom would open up so many opportunities during centers and classtime. My students could practice tracing, build early reading and math skills, and use interactive tools that support language development in a way that feels fun and engaging to them.

Headphones would make a big difference too. In a busy TK classroom, having headphones will help each child stay focused and fully engaged, especially for students who are still developing language skills and need to clearly hear sounds and instructions.These are little learners with big potential. They just need the right tools to help them grow, build confidence, and find their voice. Thank you for being part of their journey.
