This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a place of challenge and discovery, where I have amazing students that are eager to learn. They come from different backgrounds and many of them come from low-income​ households. My students are excited to explore the world of science through these materials. This school year will serve as my students’ foundation of knowledge and skills they will need as they move forward in elementary school.

It amazes me how happy they are to come to school and how they really try to keep up.

They take pride in their efforts and are willing to challenges.

My Project

Our district’s online reading program is a great resource but unfortunately, we are limited in the number of students who may use it at the same time. These two extra iPads would ensure that more students have access to the books at once. The iPads would allow my students to listen to their favorite stories and would build their vocabulary.

Some of my students get very excited when they know that it is their turn to use an iPad.

These iPads would help me not only support them academically but also put a smile on​ their little faces and that means everything to me!
