This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are English Language Learners. Some are learning English as a new language this year. My students love learning using their online programs on their iPads in the morning when they arrive at school. My students attend a high needs school in The Bronx. Unfortunately, the majority of my students come to school without a charged iPad because they do not have an iPad charger at home. Some cannot complete their online assignments in their iPads because they do not have a charged iPad.

The iPad charging station will give my students the opportunity to have a charged device so they can do i-Ready reading and math in the morning.

Students come eager and ready to turn on their iPad but unfortunately they bring uncharged devices because they do not have a charger. I also included some extra wall chargers so they can charge their iPads as well. The extra wall charger and charging station will help students charge their devices so they can use i-Ready as soon as they come to the classroom in the morning.

Students that do not have a charged iPad cannot use the learning programs in the morning because they are not enough chargers in the classroom.
