I am a Pre-Kindergarten teacher in the South Bronx. I have a class of 18 wonderful students who come to school eager to learn everyday.
Everyday I do my best to provide my students with a positive and fun learning environment.I love seeing how much my students grow throughout the year.
Being able to provide them with resources will help them excel that growth.
The use of iPads will allow my students to be more engaged in activities while providing them with differentiated instruction. My students don't have many resources readily available to them. While they are in school I want to be able to provide them with the proper resources to enhance their learning.
My Project
My students are between four and five years old. With them being so young, it is important to deliver instruction in a relatable and engaging manner. My students are always excited and engaged when they have the opportunity to use the computer with our technology teacher. I would use the iPad in the classroom to allow students to have access to educational apps and websites, such as Starfall and ABC Mouse. The iPad will allow the students to practice letter recognition, writing letters, and basic math skills such as counting.
As an early childhood teacher, I know how important it is to expose my students to all the learning resources as early as possible.

I would like to provide them with the best opportunities I can. What they do and learn now is the foundation for the years to come. I want to set them up for future success. I want them to enjoy learning and retain the information they are taught.
