Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

By funding my project, you will provide my 6th-grade students the opportunity to collaborate and become investigators who will design their poster board based on their topic of interest that will promote health and wellness in our community. The goal is for my students to build their knowledge on the goal of promoting health and wellness. Each student will engage in a research question where they will be required to come up with a hypothesis, action plan, and results. Also, as a result, my students need poster boards, markers, and cardstock paper.

In addition, to represent their findings some students will create a model in which clay and Play-Doh are a must.

Moreover, my students will also be taking pictures of their findings and/or models to display on their posters; therefore, it is a must to have extra film. This project will enhance my students' learning of the importance of promoting health and wellness.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
