This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is encapsulated by a diverse group of personalities and backgrounds. My students are honest, persistent and willing to learn. They are curious about the world they live in and how it affects them on a daily basis. I love that they strive to understand the value of math in their lives and persist to build their understanding on how they can improve.

Regardless of their individual struggles and successes, my students aim to respect one another and thrive when given adequate resources and support.

They get tired but persist so that they can achieve the goals they set for themselves.

My Project

My students do a lot of learning and address many mathematical concepts throughout the year. Having a resource like notebooks allows them to take ownership of their learning as they can customize and access any information they learn in the classroom. My students use technology for their daily lessons and activities so the use of a tangible notebooks allows them to reference definitions and examples as they are working on their computers.

Many students struggle with working alone and having an immediate resource can be helpful when working from home or as reminders during independent activities.
