My Students

I am the Kindergarten-1st Grade Math Facilitator at a Title I school in Charlotte, North Carolina. The school provides students with a safe and stable learning environment in a sometimes violent and unstable neighborhood. The students are provided with free breakfast and lunch each day to ensure that they have the fuel they need to be active learners. Our school works hard to motivate our students to reach for the stars by promoting college and career readiness starting in kindergarten.

That is why my scholars need your help to provide the best nurturing and engaging learning environment to ensure their success. They are smart, loving, and incredibly gracious children who deserve the world.

My Project

I am requesting write and wipe dots to create an interactive 120 chart in my classroom for kindergarten and 1st grade interventions. In kindergarten, our students are learning to count to 100. In 1st grade, our students are learning to count and write numbers to 150. These are huge tasks that we work on daily in our interactive notebooks. However, I want to create a lifesize 120 chart that the students can engage with to notice number patterns, fill in missing numbers and understand place value.

An interactive 120 charts will engage students and help them master Number and Operations in Base Ten Standards.

These write and wipe dots will allow the students to use dry erase markers to write numbers, circle number patterns and more. I am hoping to add an interactive 120 chart to all the 1st grade classrooms and eventually all the kindergarten classrooms.
