Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My current classroom is a Tk-3rd grade self-contained special day classroom (SDC). The students in my classroom are all students with Individualized Education Programs/Plans (IEP's), meaning, there are very specific, individualized tools/strategies that must be in place for the individual to be able to access the school environment with equity! As a special educator, one of my key roles is individualizing and adapting the environment and learning in order for my students to be able to successfully access those environments and learning opportunities!

These resources (such as a large laminator, color printer with an eco tank, laminating sheets, etc) will allow me to be able to create individualized activities and curriculum tools to best meet the needs of each individual learner in my classroom!

Although I am already doing so, this will allow my students to be able to have access to materials in color, reinforced materials that are printed in card-stock, file folder activities that are laminated, and so on!
