My Students

I am blessed beyond measure to teach in a true neighborhood school! We are one of the last remaining in our area. Each morning I greet my students at the door with a hug and a smile. I love to start their day off with happiness and positivity. I am blessed to teach twenty, five and six year old kindergarten children in my classroom. They come to school eager to soak up every morsel of knowledge they can.

In my classroom, you will find a day filled with centers, phonics, math games, shared reading and journal time.

I teach in a Title I school (high numbers of students who qualify for free/reduced-price lunches) in Alabama. I have twenty, fantastic and precious kindergarten students in my classroom this year. I am blessed to come to a job each day where I can help these children learn, grow, and most importantly, develop a love of learning to last them a lifetime!

My Project

My students need storage bins, bags and card stock paper, to help us minimize germs in the classroom by making individual literacy and math game kits! In a kindergarten classroom, you can imagine how many things are shared on a daily basis. To create more centers and work stations, I will use the card stock paper to print games and activities. Having the bins and bags would help students be able to use things during the day and I could easily sanitize them each afternoon.
