Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My high school special education Life Skills students are learning to gain independent living skills such as, cooking nutritious meals, doing laundry, vacuuming and cleaning their spaces, and organizing their personal items. These skills are explicitly taught in the classroom and thankfully we've been graciously given a fully functioning space to teach and learn. Now it's time to furnish the space with all the necessary tools!

Your contribution to my classroom will give my students the final tools and supplies they need to complete a fully functioning special education Life Skills classroom.

These amazing students deserve a classroom space with real-life, hands-on activities in order to learn and grow into independent adults. Along with the kitchen and storage supplies they receive, the vacuum, furnishings and linens will allow them to practice real-life skills. The life long skills they gain here can only be accomplished through their own dedicated work and through your generous contributions.
