Our school is a small, rural school in a high-poverty area. Agriculture and the agriculture program is very important, but sometimes this program can be expensive and therefore struggles to provide basic expendable equipment. The instruction that I provide will hopefully provide a lifetime of knowledge and good habits.
They frequently ask to come down to the Ag Shop during study halls or to stay after school because they enjoy the activities that we do and feel that it is a safe, supportive place for them to be.
They are here by choice, not by chance.
My Project
As my students increase the number and complexity of projects they are tackling, the students need a greater variety of tools available.
Without the right tools, my students do not have their best chance at success.
I want my students to succeed in High School and beyond. Giving my students these tools will help ensure that they have the ability to work on new projects. These new projects will teach them new skills so that they will be equipped for their future. By having complete sets of tools in tool boxes, they will know that they are accountable for getting tools at the start of the day and returning them at the end of the day.
