My Project

Every student deserves to walk into a classroom and feel that they belong, that their voice matters, and that they have what they need to succeed. My goal is to create an inclusive classroom where every child can see themselves reflected in our learning environment while learning to appreciate and celebrate the experiences of others. As a Title I school serving a diverse community, my students bring cultures, identities, strengths, interests, and experiences to our classroom. What makes them special is their resilience, curiosity, compassion, and willingness to learn from one another. I want our classroom to be a place where differences are not barriers—they are valued as an important part of our community.

The items in this project will help make that vision accessible and meaningful for all learners.

Diverse books featuring characters, emotions, cultures, and inspiring STEM leaders will allow students to see themselves represented while expanding their understanding of people and experiences beyond their own. The social-emotional learning book sets, kindness chips, and classroom rug will give us tools to build empathy, confidence, self-awareness, and community. Flexible chair bands and sensory-friendly tools will provide ways for students to comfortably participate, focus, and access learning. Together, these resources will help students with different learning styles, needs, and backgrounds participate fully—not simply be present, but feel included.

With your support, we can build more than a classroom filled with supplies; we can build a classroom filled with belonging. I want my students to know that their stories matter, their differences make our community stronger, and there is a place for every one of them to learn, grow, contribute, and succeed. These resources will help create a classroom where students feel seen, supported, represented, and empowered to become kind, confident learners who recognize the value in themselves and one another.
