Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a school-based speech language pathologist in a high poverty community. I work primarily with children who receive special education and speech/language services.

Our students love to put highly visual, finishing touches on their research papers, writing assignments and projects. As they receive their much needed specialized interventions and supports, many do not have access to computers at home, much less a printer. Within the school setting, they do not have access to colored printers. Illustrations of their work are completed in black and white, which often makes it difficult for them to boast about and celebrate the true nature of their ideas.

We are in need of an HP colored printer and HP inks that will allow our children to become young scientists, young authors, young debaters, and young supporters of their thoughts and ideas. Many of the assignments that they complete are not completed without a colored picture/illustration of their thoughts and ideas. An HP printer and HP cartridges will help them achieve this end in living color.

Your assistance will allow the children to realize the heights to which they can reach as they work to create well-documented information that is also visually appealing. They take such great pride in their work. With your help they will be able to perfect their written creations.
