If you live in Pennsylvania, you know the weather can be unpredictable. From the freezing cold winters, to the rainy spring days, indoor recess is a frequent occurrence. Unfortunately, my students do not have many options during indoor recess other than playing games on their Chromebooks.
This project will help my students limit their screen time and get back to the basic of interacting with each other.
The STEM building activities included in this project will promote problem-solving skills, critical thinking, curiosity, persistence, decision-making, leadership, and communication.
The board games, and card games, included in this project will help to strengthen peer relationships. They will also give scholars opportunites to practice essential cognitive skills, such as decision making, higher level strategic thinking, and problem-solving.
The art supplies included in this project will promote creativity, and provide a way for scholars to release stress. Many scholars find art to be a form of therapy.
