Having tablets in the classroom will give my students access to a variety of educational tools to enhance their learning. For example, they will be able to read a limitless selection of books at the virtual libraries that are not readily available in class. They will be able to use the tablets as a resource when researching topics in all content areas. Most importantly, they will be able to access their individualized Reading and Math instruction on our school websites. There are a variety of Apps available for students to help with achievement. It will also create an outlet for students who need to have their learning differentiated using a variety of tools. I plan on using the Kindles in class for all of the above reasons and more. I think having tablets in the class will grab the attention of my students and increase students' desire to learn. Having Kindles in class can change everything. We can constantly have a tech center readily available, it can make transitions smoother, and will allow students the use of technology that they do not always have at home. It's important to expose children to new technology to make sure they are ready for the future.
