My Project

My older students love picture books, especially ones that go along with a historical lesson. These books will provide my students with more knowledge about topics we are learning about. They love finding out more information about people during this time in history and it builds their background knowledge.

Expanding their knowledge of a topic opens up their minds even more about questions they have about the topic.

With each book, we discuss literacy elements to help with our reading skills as well. These books are often used to open a lesson to pull the students in!
