Help me give my students the opportunity to become future architects and builders. These manipulatives will help them construct buildings and develop their mathematical and reasoning skills. They will count, construct, and create amazing structures using their imaginations.

My Students
Welcome to our room! Our class has 16 amazing kindergarten students! I am so fortunate because they truly care about one another and love to work together and share with their classmates. They are sweet as sugar!
Our class is not quiet, but rather has some pretty wonderful energy and excitement.
They love to sing, dance, and move. They burst into song at random points during the day! All this singing and academic conversations and discussions are the backbone of our daily learning.
Our class is diverse . . . Latino, African American, White, Samoan, Filipino, and Yemeni. Combined, they speak five different languages, and they are proud to be bilingual. They are proud of who they are.
My Project
This exciting project is all about combining engineering, mathematics, and literacy! Students will create various structures using blocks and other building materials and most importantly . . . their imaginations! During the project, they will learn about engineering and will wear their engineer badges. They will understand that engineers think and plan. They will understand engineers love to solve problems, ask questions, and use their imaginations. After they build their creations, we will photograph them using our iPads and will write all about them. We will read our projects to a partner or in the author's chair. This project will inspire future engineers and architects!
