Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This class of hard working students live in a low income area. They are a diverse population of students who try to the best of their ability to reach their goals with the limited amount of resources that are provided. In order to be successful in this competitive world, each student needs access to their own marker to use their whiteboard. They will also benefit greatly from having their own Time for Kids magazine. The students need to work individually so he/she can excel. Your donation is very much appreciated by the students, their parents, the school, and myself. Thank you in advance.

My Project

The students will be using their donated graphing white boards. The expo markers will create lines, bars, and vertices on the graphing white boards. This will allow the students to have a stronger understanding of graphs. They can also draw their own bar graph, line graph, or stem and leaf plot on the white boards. Having a white board and the ability to use with an expo marker, will enhance their learning experience.

Rather than looking on the internet to read current events, the students will simply pick up a Time for Kids magazine.

Time for Kids is a student centered magazine. This magazine will allow the students to practice reading while learning about what is happening in the country at the same time.
