My Project

I absolutely love my students’ curiosity, creativity, and excitement for hands-on learning. They thrive when they can explore new ideas in a fun, engaging way, especially through activities that connect everyday experiences to science and creativity. My goal is always to give them opportunities that spark joy while building practical skills, teamwork, and confidence.

This ice cream–themed project will let my students learn through real-world exploration.

An ice cream maker is the perfect tool for teaching them about states of matter, temperature change, measurement, and the scientific method all while creating something delicious together. Watching liquid ingredients transform into solid ice cream helps them understand science in a memorable, meaningful way.

The vanilla extract is an essential ingredient that lets students experiment with flavor, ratios, and food chemistry. It also helps them learn how small changes in ingredients can affect taste and texture, building their understanding of mixing, measurement, and following multi-step directions.

Both resources support hands-on learning, teamwork, and sensory exploration. My students learn best when they can touch, taste, create, and discover—and this project gives them an experience they will remember and build on throughout the year.
