My Project

Our secondary school is trying to improve our reading scores across the board! Every day I have reluctant readers asking me for something that would be like the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” series. They read them all and then struggle to find something else that they want to read! I have done research and have found many new ideas and suggestions from other librarians and believe that these titles will be helpful for these students!

I want to insure that I have new and exciting books to put in their hands and without the extra funding, this would not be possible!

Since the state mandatory cell phone ban, I have noticed that our students are reading more and more during school hours. Circulation has increased in our school library. My goal is to spark a new love for new authors after they finish a book series. I also want to introduce new authors and fun titles to our students.
