My Project

I absolutely love the energy, imagination, and joy my students bring to school each day. As a Pre-K teacher, I get to watch them grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally as they learn how to interact with others, solve problems, and build friendships. Some of my students are still learning how to share, take turns, and regulate their emotions, and these skills are just as important as any academic goal at this stage.

Recess is one of the most important parts of our day because it provides a natural setting for students to practice these essential life skills.

My students thrive when they are given opportunities to move, play, and engage with one another in structured and unstructured ways.

The assortment of recess balls I am requesting will give my students more opportunities for active play, cooperation, and inclusion. Having a variety of balls—such as playground balls, soccer balls, and smaller options—allows all students to find something they feel comfortable using, regardless of their skill level. These materials encourage teamwork, communication, and positive social interactions while also supporting gross motor development.

The organizer will help keep our equipment accessible, safe, and easy to manage. When materials are organized and visible, students can independently choose activities, practice responsibility by returning items, and maximize their playtime without confusion or frustration.

Together, these resources will help create a more structured, engaging, and inclusive recess environment where all students can feel successful, build relationships, and develop important physical and social-emotional skills. My goal is for every child to feel confident, included, and excited to participate—and these materials will make a meaningful difference in making that happen.
